Fans of Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) and Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) have to wait a little more before they can finally watch "Switched at Birth" Season 5 on Freeform. The network decided to move the teen/family drama's premiere date, but viewers don't have to worry as it will only be late by one week.
According to TVLine, Freeform recently announced the final 10-episode "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will start on Jan. 31. It will be launched after the return of "The Fosters" Season 4B on the said date. The network first announced that the TV series was supposed to air on Jan. 24.
Definitely, fans are now longing to watch "Switched at Birth" Season 5. To recall, the teen drama has been in a long hiatus and was last seen on Oct. 26, 2015. After a long year of waiting, unfortunately, it will now say goodbye as it will mark its 100th episode with a 90-minute series finale.
"Switched at Birth" Season 5 will feature the "topical issue of campus race relations." Fans, too, will see an episode based on the point of views of some African-American characters.
Meanwhile, in "Switched at Birth" Season 5, Daphne and Bay will now return home after they received an emergency call. It looks like the buzz that they received has a purpose as the season's first episode is titled "The Call."
It was recently reported that "Switched at Birth" Season 5 Episode 1 "The Call" might have two meanings. It may be pertaining to John's (D.W. Moffett) illness that is getting worse because of the stress he is suffering from his divorce.
The other one could be the call Kathryn (Lea Thompson) wants to do as she likes to talk to Daphne about her separatioin with John. As already mentioned, "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will return on Jan. 31 on Freeform.
