"The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack is set to introduce several festivals that offers a unique experience for Sim characters. Electronic Arts has recently unveiled the details for its new comedy themed festival.
Avid fans of Electronic Arts' life simulation game "The Sims 4" will soon enjoy the amazing sights and sounds of the game's new world San Myshuno. One of the urban activities included in the "City Living" expansion pack features special festivals that can cater to a Sim's different interests.
In a recent announcement posted on "The Sims" website, details of the new "Humor and Hijinks" festival were revealed. The said celebration is a perfect celebration for playful and mischievous Sims.
Player can even have their Sim characters visit the said festival to enjoy emotion buffs. Interaction with festival attendees can also lead to skill enhancements such as a boost in charisma and other abilities.
Telling jokes would be a major part of the "Humor and Hijinks" event, but as the name denotes, mischievous things can also happen that affect a Sim's comedy routine. Gamers whose Sim character possesses a high mischievous skill can opt use a voodoo doll to sabotage another Sim's performance.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the said "City Living" festival is the competition between Sims who love to tell jokes and pranksters. Gamers would need to choose which team to join and drink the appropriate colored tea to display their loyalty.
"The Sims 4 City Living" also features other celebrations such as the "Romance" festival, "GeekCon" and other events. Apart from the festivals, game developers have also introduced new items, hobbies, apartments, gameplay features and new careers.
In other news, speculations have been rife of a potential "The Sims 4" Pets or Seasons themed expansion packs. Recently, a member of "The Sims" team posted an intriguing response on Reddit that hinted of a future Pets and Seasons DLC, Sims Community reported. When asked if "The Sims 4" will get expansion packs for Pets and Seasons, game designer Daniel Hiatt teased, "I think so. But what do I know?"
At this time, it is still unclear if developers will release expansion packs to introduce pets and different seasons to "The Sims 4." Neither Electronic Arts nor Maxis and The Sims Studio have yet to comment on the news.
