As "Nashville" Season 5 is now on its new network, CMT, fans are about to see little changes in the show. The executive producers revealed that they will take the chance to include new modifications to restore the TV series into its original, musical roots.
In an interview with TVLine, the new co-showrunner Marshall Herskovitz revealed that there will be more alterations that will be seen in "Nashville" Season 5. "First thing we mandated was shorter scripts, so there's time for the music to play out," he said.
Marshall Herskovitz also explained that "Nashville" Season 5 will concentrate on the stars' "depth and complexity of relationships." This only means that viewers will see fewer troubles, setting aside unnecessary scenes and incidents.
"'Nashville' is the crossroads of the entire music world, not just country music," Marshall Herskovitz continued. Aside from the aforementioned changes, "Nashville" Season 5 will also explore more musical styles with the newly-added Joseph David-Jones. The actor will be seen as another music artist that plays modern/electric tunes.
Meanwhile, Auditions Free posted that "Nashville" Season 5 is looking for new talents that will join the show. The musical drama is going to hire extras, featured extras, photo doubles and stand-ins in the area.
In fact, "Nashville" Season 5 casting director already released a casting notice for the different roles that have to be filled. However, as the show is currently filming in Nashville Tennessee, they will only consider employing talents living in the state.
