There's a fanbase for Netflix's Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Elektra (Elodie Yung) and there are those who are rooting for Daredevil and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll). Those who support the latter shipping are already excited to see what's next in "Daredevil" Season 3 after its major cliffhanger where Matt Murdock (Cox) revealed to Karen who he really is.
A release date for the new season of "Daredevil" has not been confirmed yet as there are more Netflix-Marvel series ahead in the lineup. "Iron Fist" is currently in production and is slated to release in spring 2017, but before Matt Murdock returns in brand new episodes, the heroes of Hell's Kitchen will gather first in "The Defenders," which likely gives "Daredevil" Season 3 a 2018 release. It's still a long wait and fans are already anxious to know how Karen would react after she got the big reveal at the end of the final episode of "Daredevil" Season 2.
Fortunately, "Daredevil" Season 3 actress Deborah Ann Woll managed to give some hints as to what will happen next, especially between Matt and Karen. In an exclusive interview with Seat42F at the Television Critics Association tour in summer, Woll was asked if there's a chance for Matt and her character to make it work this time around, considering that the former already revealed his true identity. The actress replied, "I hope so. I mean I love the romantic plot between Matt and Karen. But I think what's interesting is that we're learning about who they are separately, first."
It is now speculated that Matt and Karen will try to make things work after the secret is out. However, their relationship is expected to be short-lived as Karen will always constantly worry about Matt's safety being the blind vigilante at night. Based on the comic book series, Matt isn't willing to give up his crime-fighting crusade so Karen will eventually leave him, breaking the hearts of Matt-Karen shippers. It is also speculated that Karen will die in "Daredevil" Season 3, following reports that Bullseye will be the next season's big bad. In the comics, it was Bullseye who put an end to Karen's life.
Then again, nothing has been confirmed yet and the speculations are based on the comic book series. Adaptations are known to stray from original materials, so "Daredevil" Season 3 fans should just stay tuned for official plot updates.
