Two popular game features that were introduced in earlier versions of Electronic Arts' "The Sims" franchise may soon be added to "The Sims 4." A game designer has hinted of the potential inclusion of pets and seasons in upcoming expansion packs.
Many players have been clamoring for the addition of several features to "The Sims 4." Earlier versions of Electronic Arts' life simulation game included toddlers, a separate university life for student Sims, as well as supernatural characters. Among the varied gameplay requests, avid gamers have been hoping that upcoming expansion packs will include pets and different seasons.
Recently, a member of "The Sims" team highlighted the possibility of future expansion packs that will introduce the two said features. In a Reddit thread, SimGuruDaniel responded to a question that asked whether Electronic Arts may have plans for a Pets and Seasons DLC for "The Sims 4." The game developer replied, "I think so. But what do I know?"
SimGuruDaniel may not have confirmed nor denied the release of the said two gaming features. However, his response raised the fans' excitement over future expansion pack releases.
A few Reddit users even highlighted the groundwork for a potential Pets DLC that game developers may have placed in the upcoming "The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack. The said pack is set to introduce rats and other vermin to the new world's apartments.
Meanwhile, other Reddit users made mention of the complicated development work required to release a Seasons themed expansion pack. Pets would be an easier expansion pack project to tackle that may involve less technical work as compared to a Seasons DLC.
In other news, "The Sims 4" third expansion pack "City Living" will feature a new city-themed world named San Myshuno, apartments, new careers, as well as new hobbies for Sim characters. Players can soon have their Sims enjoy an exciting round of basketball or an enhanced video gaming experience.
Developers have added cool basketball moves and impressive dunk shots in "City Living," according to a press statement posted on "The Sims" official website. Apart from the said sport, a new video game console will allow Sims to enjoy several genres such as RPG and or racing games.
"The Sims 4" third expansion pack "City Living" is scheduled for release on Nov. 1 for PC and MAC. Watch the game's trailer below:
