Seemingly out of nowhere, "Road Rash" responding to a fairly simple question, creator and programmer Dan Geisler popped up over on a Reddit thread declaring that if there was enough interest, he would do a Kickstarter on it in an attempt to pave out a new future for the race n' basher.
"...I was burned out after 'Road Rash 3,'" he explained. "But I'm ready to do another one now. I just needed 20 years off."
One can easily see reading throgh the thread that there's more than enough support over at Reddit, but doing another "Road Rash" game will be an uphill battle. Said Geisler, "'Road Rash' was my baby. I will need to talk with EA to get the rights. But I don't think they have a lock on motorcycle combat any more."
"Road Rash 3," the last one Geisler was involved in, was considered the last "good" game in the "Rash" series. There was an attempt to bring the franchise to the PlayStation and the N64, but both were critically panned.
