The sequel is rumored to introduce new faces to the once loved American comedy show. Brittany Snow is rumored to be cast in the show along with Yael Grobglas.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 2" will follow the story of Rebecca Bunch played by Rachel Bloom who is a lawyer in New York who had a nervous breakdown after her ex-boyfriend Josh Chan played by Vincent Rodriguez III went to West Covina, California. Rebecca leaves her life in New York City to run after Josh who in turn is already in a relationship with an ultra-hot yoga instructor, Valencia played by Gabrielle Ruiz. Moreover, Josh's best friend Greg played by Santino Fontana fell in love with Rebecca who goes off her prescription meds for Josh, according to report.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 2" is the sequel to the 18-episodes musical comedy that went for roughly 12 hours. The show is aimed to charm the audience with the main character's crazy antics to run after an old flame. Furthermore, Rebecca's best friend Paula is said to be a reflection of the audience, living vicariously through the protagonist's romantic pursuits while struggling with her own failing marriage.
Meanwhile, the "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 2" will premiere in one week. Apparently, the show would be introducing several new characters to the show such as "Pitch Perfect" actress Brittany Snow, TV Fanatic reported. It remains unclear what Snow's role will be in connection with the lead stars of the show.
"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 3" is also rumored to star "Jane the Virgin" actress Yael Grobglas. The actress will be turning from her role Petra Andel in the dramedy to Trina in the musical comedy show. Reports says that Grobglas will be a young businesswoman in the sequel who will be hiring the Whitefeather and Associates to represent her.
