"Something About 1 Percent," the remake of the hit 2003 Korean drama has already premiered on Oct. 5 starring Ha Seok Jin and Jeon So Min. The original version was a huge success so the hopes are high for the 2016 remake.
Ha Seok Jin and Jeon So Min play the characters of Lee Jae In and Kim Da Hyun who are very opposite from each other. The former is a wealthy bachelor while the latter is a simple school teacher who is very dedicated to teaching her pupils.
After helping the business tycoon Lee Kyoo Chul played by Joo Jin Mo when he was almost dying in the woods, he was impressed by her kind heart so he set her to marry his grandson in "Something About 1 Percent."
As shown in the early episodes of "Something About 1 Percent," the old businessman is aware that his grandson would never grant his request so he made a condition that he can never refuse to. Lee Jae In can only have majority of his grandfather's properties and wealth if he marries Kim Da Hyun.
In the end, he gave in to his grandpa's request and they agreed for a 10-month engagement contract. Eager to inherit as many assets as he can, he dated the teacher he never met before. Little did he know that he will eventually fall in love with her.
Ha Seok Jin and Jeon So Min's characters are expected to find love in each other's arms in "Something About 1 Percent." They will try to resist it at first but destiny will draw them closer.
"Something About 1 Percent" 2016 remake is expected to have similar story with the original version but there might be some revisions to cater the new generations of viewers. The new Korean drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday on Dramax, as per Asian Wiki.
