A "Mafia 3" review was said to be unlikely prior to the launch of the action-adventure video game. Gaming sites reportedly lacked sources due to 2K not being able to supply any pre-release copies for their review. The game reportedly lacked features like outfits, vehicles, as well as good graphics.
2K Games previously held back pre-release copies for "Mafia 3" until the game was released on Oct. 7. Since "Mafia 3" had been launched over a week ago, it is believed that the game could use a bit more polishing, PlayStationlifestyle.net reported. "Mafia 3" is reportedly a good game with a well-crafted plot, audio work, and authentic-looking open world. However, the game is said to be monotonous as the protagonist goes on the same mission in the same building over and over again.
Apparently, "Mafia 3" rolled out sans any form of fast travel. Lincoln Clay is expected to go driving around the map or walk. The game was also criticized for its poor visuals which is said to look more last-gen than next-gen. Furthermore, the game has been noted to include a lot of bugs and glitches that would hamper gameplay or crash the game entirely. The game may also get too dark or too bright at times forcing the need to reset.
In other news, Hangar 13's debut title "Mafia 3" had been compared to Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto 5" noting the latter's obvious advantages in terms of graphics and quality. However, "GTA V" is said to lack a main idea, not sure about what it really is about, Forbes reported. The game's story line had been criticized for having a beautiful map only half-filled with substance.
"Mafia 3", on the other hand is reportedly certain about its plot. The story deals with more racism, betrayal, revenge and oppression. Lincoln Clay would be coming from Vietnam to avenge his family who had been murdered by an Italian mob. As it turns out, Clay is trained killer and a black man on a single-minded quest of revenge.
