"Overwatch" new update was released on Oct. 11 and it also contains seasonal Halloween event that will be available for a limited time. In addition to the spooky event, the latest Overwatch patch offers updates for an improved gameplay, like new leaderboards and two aiming modes. The patch known as update 1.10 is now downloadable to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The Overwatch patch also served as official launching pad for the seasonal Halloween event and for a limited time, players can enjoy new skins, Halloween-themed items and co-op brawl which is similar to that of the previous Summer Games event. Once players installed the patch, the loot boxes will turn into gleaming jack-o'-lantern that will hold treats and loots such as emotes, sprays, skins, poses and more.
With the presentation of the Halloween Terror event for this month's update, "Overwatch" players also expect to see the new hero called Sombra. However, it was not included in the patch so it seems that they have to wait for a bit more time before the notorious hacker character will finally make its appearance in the game. Observers say that Blizzard is likely to introduce Sombra at the BlizzCon 2016 event on Nov. 4.
Fans may have been disappointed with the said character's non-appearance but they were appeased after trying out the Halloween Terror event called the Junkenstein's Revenge. It is a 7-minute co-op PvE brawl where gamers form a team of four and play as Ana, Soldier: 76, McCree and Hanzo. While players are fighting zomnic bots that are trying to break down Lord of Adlersbrunn's castle's door, enemies consisting of Roadhog, Mercy, Junkrat and Reaper are also attacking the players from time to time.
"Overwatch" fans were impressed with the game and as a result, they want Blizzard to make the Halloween-themed brawl a permanent PvE Horde mode on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The gaming company is known to listen to their fans requests so many are hoping that Junkenstein's Revenge will stay way beyond its Nov. 1 ending date.
