"Pokemon Sun & Moon" is coming closer and closer to release and it might be safe to say that everyone is sufficiently excited to be playing in Alola already. We've heard all about the different Alola forms of all the familiar Pokemon, and now we have yet another set of Generation 1 Pokemon getting the same treatment.
Today's big "Pokemon Sun & Moon" reveal feature iconic Poison-types Grimer and its evolution Muk. Their new forms are more colorful than their original purple-gray selves, but it's not entirely sure if their types are also changed like that of Pokemon like Vulpix, Ninetales, Sandshrew, and Sandslash. It does seem as though they will still be Poison-types in the region.
Rounding off today's "Pokemon Sun & Moon" reveal are a bunch of Pokemon who have different abilities. One of them is Silvally, a badass-looking Normal-type Pokemon whose ability allows it to change its type according to the item it's holding. Other new Pokemon revealed today are Hakamo-o, the Dragon/Fighting evolution of Jangmo-o; Grass-types Steenee and Tsareena, the second and third evolutions of Bounsweet, respectively; and Bug/Fairy type Ribombee.
"Pokemon Sun & Moon" also introduces two new never-before-seen trainers, Olivia and Ilima, who seem to be something like Gym leaders in the region, but not quite. According to Polygon, Olivia is in charge of one island the player will visit, while Ilima is popular in the region. Olivia seems to be a landmark addition to the game series, being the first dark-skinned character in the game (for lack of a better way to say it).
"Pokemon Sun & Moon" is arriving for the Nintendo 3DS on November 18. A demo, in which you can get an Ash-Greninja for the full release, will be releasing on the eShop this month. You should be sure to get on that to get your exclusive Pokemon.
