There are rumors that Leah Murphy (Tessa Ferrer) will be returning to Grey Sloan Memorial in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. She will most likely be Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) new love interest.
The Hollywood Reporter stated that Murphy was a recurring character in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 9 and became a regular the following season. She was Arizona's love interest but was fire from the hospital after the show producers chose not to renew Ferrer's contract. Murphy was last seen in the final episode of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10. Ferrer and Gaius Charles were removed from "Grey's Anatomy" after Season 10.
In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, Arizona has just been divorced and will most likely be looking for someone special after Callie (Sara Ramirez), her ex-wife, transferred across the country with her new girlfriend. Capshaw shared that Arizona's new love interest may be someone with a lot of confidence and excitant. She continued that it will be good for hernext relationship in "Grey's Anatomy" to have the same upbeat start that Arizona shared with Callie. It would also help if it was fun, sexy and exciting.
TVGuide reported that according to Capshaw, a love interest certainly does not mean that it has to necessarily be a huge relationship. Capshaw described Tessa as a fun, kind and talented person, so everyone on "Grey's Anatomy" were glad to have her back and telling more stories. Leah will allegedly return in a dramatic way, because of the way that she and Arizona ended their relationship previously. Leah was upset after their breakup and Arizona felt guilty about it too, so Arizona will certainly be surprised to see her return in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.
Arizona will not be going on dates with other people and will be feeling light after her divorce with Callie. Arizona understands that she can now enjoy more freedom and will most likely be playful at times. Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) will expectedly remain her wingman in "Grey's Anatomy." It is believed that Arizona has to go back and forth to New York for Sofia, although it will happen off camera. Leah Murphy will return on "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Episode 6 on Oct. 27, 2016 on ABC.
