Creator, Executive Producer Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland expressed hesitation regarding the use of Inter-dimensional cable for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Among the writers, Sarah Carbiener and Erica Rosbe also shares some good news regarding the wrapping up the script for Season 3.
Speculations regarding the use of inter-dimensional cable has been the main reason for the creators to confirm that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 won't be using the same material as the previous season. During the San Diego Comic-con, Harmon revealed that he is very alarming regarding speculations about the show and he is taking care of its reputation and will somehow decode it. According to the report, they were still very open on the possibility to use it.
iDigital Times wrote that the writing team are done with the new episodes for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 and were waiting for their in-house training at the Canadian Animation Studio. However, the writers did not share any clue about the upcoming Adult Swim Series.

The writers relayed the process and the things that they've gone through such as rewriting the scripts just to get the best for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. According to Rosbe, they're already done last month and wasn't sure how many more episodes to go. They were also waiting for their screenings in the production office and maybe a week or two after being done, according to Carbiener.
