A mysterious promotional image for a second new "Assassin's Creed" game, "Assassin's Creed; Rising Phoneix," has surfaced online.
The image's source is murky, at best. Tracing the history back from the Ubisoft forums, the trail ends at assassinscreed.su, a Russian AC fan-site.
This information should obviously be taken with a massive pile of salt. The name, "Rising Phoneix," doesn't seem connected to pirates or the caribbean, the setting for the confirmed AC sequel, "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag." The last "Assassin's Creed" spin-off, "Assassin's Creed III: Liberation," was directly tied to the accompanying entry in the primary series.
That doesn't automatically mean the image isn't legitimate, though. Even if it isn't a new entry in the series or a handheld spinoff, the name could refer to anything from a mobile game, to a book to a comic.
