"Spider-Man: Homecoming" certainly has the fans cringing for more details as of late. After knowing who the villains of the movie will be, the team of Sony may be ready to work on the other things that could benefit the entire franchise.
As some may know, Tom Holland's version of the web-slinger first appeared in "Captain America: Civil War" earlier this year. Not too long after, it was revealed that another standalone film reboot will come in the form of "Spider-Man: Homecoming," with the same actor reprising his role and more.
Reports say the Marvel Studios will be teaming up with Sony Pictures on their first linked film, "Spider-Man: Homecoming," with an array of admirable support characters and villains to go with it. As soon as the talk of these vital personalities came, the question on what could be next has been raised easily.
According to an interview with Collider, Tom Rothman, the Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment under the Motion Picture Group divulged what the team will be working on post "Spider-Man: Homecoming." It was made official by Rothman that the filming of the movie reached its end about a week ago, and they will be working on other spin-off films to follow it up.
One of the most dominant claims is that a Venom spin-off will surface soon after "Spider-Man: Homecoming," which Rothman followed up that they are, indeed, working on films of the sort. Not only will they be rumors, as Rothman declared, but they will be concrete releases to contradict the speculations thereof.
Other rumors have spoken of the potential Sinister Six movie, even going as far as to have an Aunt May spin-off as soon as "Spider-Man: Homecoming" releases. That being said, there will be more to look out for in the coming days, weeks and months before the anticipated film is within the viewers' grasp by summer of next year.
