Ubisoft has responded, quite classily, to PETA's condemnation of "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" on Tuesday.
Stone Chin, PR manager for Ubisoft, issued a statement to Polygon, saying simply:
"History is our playground in Assassin's Creed. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is a work of fiction that depicts the real events during the golden era of pirates. We do not condone illegal whaling, just as we don't condone a pirate lifestyle of poor hygiene, plundering, hijacking ships, and over-the legal-limit drunken debauchery."
In this PC era of apologetic drivel, it's nice to see a company stand by a product, and not kowtow and change their game because of one special interest group.
