Those with harrowing concern for the long-awaited ‘Company of Heroes’ sequel can finally rest easy. Out of former parent company THQ’s ashes, Relic Entertainment found a new owner in Sega, both of whom gave an official release date for "Company of Heroes 2" on Wednesday
Delayed passed it’s early 2013 release, "Company of Heroes 2" a PC only RTS coming to North America and Europe on June 25 this year, Polygon reports.
“We hate to disappoint our fans with a later than expected date as we know they are eager to play but we feel that the additional time will help the team deliver the high quality sequel they deserve," says Relic Entertainment producer Greg Wilson in a release. Catch a glimpse of some multiplayer gameplay below. The game was expected to release early this year.
Sega acquired Relic Entertainment during the THQ auction frenzy after the publisher collapsed into bankruptcy and eventual dissolution. Relic Entertainment, formerly operating under the brand THQ Canada, is also responsible for developing games in the ‘Warhammer 40,000’ franchise.
