Rockstar Games has yet to reveal the real score on the new games under development though it is not likely that it will be “Grand Theft Auto 6” or “Red Dead Redemption 2”. If any of these two were in the mix, the gaming world would have gone ballistic by now.
As mentioned in a previous post, the stage for the new games is not limited to “Grand Theft Auto 6” or “Red Dead Redemption 2”. There are other games that could come ahead such as “Bully 2” or even “Agent”. For gamers, the two titles pale in comparison with the impact of “Grand Theft Auto 6” and/or “Red Dead Redemption 2”. Going over the trends, however, the lack of hype could very well point to an eventual release to either “Bully 2” or “Agent”.
Speculating by the years
If the year of release by the Rockstar Games is to be considered, “Agent” should get the nod and then “Bully 2”. “Bully” came out in 2006 for the PS2 so it makes sense to release a refresh given that it has been some time since the game came out. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is the third likely release considering it came out in 2010. If the usual cycle would have been followed, it should have been out by now (2016).
“Grand Theft Auto 6” on the other hand may be feasibly coming in 2018. Rampant as the calls for "GTA 6" right now, Rockstar is expectedly trying to make it a good game to release. Among the rumored features include VR compatibility and new maps.
Popularity contest
If popularity is the basis, the hands-down choice would be “Grand Theft Auto 6” and/or “Red Dead Redemption 2”, according to Neurogadget. Seeing that the planned two games aren’t getting much push, the likely games are the two less-popular ones – “Bully 2” and or “Agent”.
