Moreover, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu talked about their return in "Elementary" Season 5 at New York Comic Con on Friday. The two stars have been playing as Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson in the television series for five years and they are about to mark their 100th episode. "It's a strange and wonderful feeling to know that you've done a hundred episodes and that you continue to do them," the 47-year-old actress said.
Lucy Liu admitted that playing the character of Dr. Watson in "Elementary" Season 5 is "very challenging," but she is still thankful to portray an iconic role. The "Charlie's Angels" star even explained that "Sherlock Holmes" is already a historical piece of literature that had been adapted into too many versions and for her, taking the role is a one of a kind experience.
Jonny Lee Miller, on the other hand, revealed that playing the role of Sherlock Holmes for a long time gives him the level of confidence that every actor wants to achieve. "When you get to do something for a long time, you get to know these characters, so you consider walking to the set with real confidence of who that person is," the 43-year-old actor explained. "Elementary" Season 5 Episode 2 will air on Oct. 16 on CBS at 10:00 p.m.
