"The Originals" Season 4 is set to launch early in 2017, featuring the return of Niklaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). That's in addition to the Mikaelson siblings turning against each other, and a new villain, among others.
Previously, Niklaus Mikaelson has been struggling with the Tunde Blade. He will remain in a pain-induced coma, while other members of his family are in a suspended state. "The Originals" Season 4 will start with Klaus being saved by someone, writes TV Guide. There are rumors that Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) will be Klaus's hero as the former crosses over from "The Vampire Diaries" to "The Originals." The upcoming season may also show how their relationship will turn out.
"The Originals" Season 4 will showcase a new big baddie. Klaus and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) will work together to battle a sadistic vampire that will pose a threat to children in New Orleans. The new villain is poised to fight Klaus to settle a centuries-old grudge. In "The Originals" Season 4, he will reportedly be very powerful and strong enough to destroy Klaus. The new enemy in "The Originals" will resort to extremely evil deeds to attain his objective, with Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) being his first victim.
VampireDiaries.com stated that Hope will be seven years old in the new season of "The Originals." She was only two years old when viewers last saw her. After the five-year time jump, Hope will be talking and sharing about her dreams and feelings. Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) has been a good mother to her. Hayley also needs to locate the seven werewolf packs in her journey to save the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4 and she will have to rely on her inner werewolf to connect with the packs.
"The Originals" Season 4 will feature betrayal. Friends will become enemies, and vice versa. There are rumors that one or more of the Mikaelson siblings will betray the other or the entire family. Rebekah (Claire Holt) may collaborate with her brother, Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), since both despise their clan. "The Originals" Season 4 will air on Jan. 29, 2017 on ABC.
