In "The Walking Dead" Season 7 trailer, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) says "what, was the joke that bad?" That's directly from the comic book where Comic Negan says Lucille is "a vampire bat." So now we know that the show is pulling stuff from the comic book, as noted by a Reddit post. Unfortunately to all the Glenn fans out there, if this episode in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will stick to the comic book storyline, then Glenn (Steven Yeun) is going to get it.

According to the post, the Comic Negan makes two jokes in this particular scene. After smashing Glenn's head with his weapon of choice, Negan commented that Lucille is a "vampire bat" and that he's not a fan of chinese food. Is the show ready to kill of Glenn? After surviving his supposed death scene in the "Thank You" episode, will Glenn finally lose the battle?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan definitely did the character Negan justice, but it turns out that he wasn't the first pick to play "The Walking Dead" Season 7 villain. Henry Rollins told Forbes that the role of Negan was created in his likeness. Although with that huge advantage, Henry Rollins didn't get the part and Negan will officially be portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
With Negan being the biggest villain on TV right now, it is certainly interesting to know where the character came from or just how "The Walking Dead" writer and creator, Robert Kirkman, came up with the character. Now, we know. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiers in AMC this October 23.
