When Robert Downey Jr. himself confirmed that "Iron Man 4" is definitely happening during his guest appearance at the Ellen DeGeneres show back in 2014, fans took his words to heart. But two years have passed and nothing much was said about the much-awaited film. Many speculations were built regarding "Iron Man 4," and as expected, Marvel Studios have remained tight-lip about anything "Iron Man."
Since Marvel Studios have not confirmed nor denied any of the "Iron Man 4" rumors, fans took it upon themselves to figure things out. There are whispers and speculations that the long wait for "Iron Man 4" is still not over yet. As a matter of fact, the much-hyped movie may hit the big screen in 2020, as reported by Mobile & Apps. That is three more years of waiting. Although"Iron Man 4" is definitely worth the wait, the anticipation is just too much to handle sometimes.
Marvel Studios revealed in their official website the Phase 3 movie lineup. The site confirmed that "Ant-Man and the Wasp," and "Black Panther" will debut on 2018 and "Captain Marvel" on 2019. There are three movies slated on 2020 but the studio opted to leave the titles unknown for now. Many believed that one of those three untitled Marvel Studios films may be "Iron Man 4."

Just as when fans lost their hope for Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role in "Iron Man 4," RDJ shared a group photo with Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" star Tom Holland was also in the snap. Although Robert Downey Jr.'s caption revealed that their gathering had nothing to do with "Iron Man 4," it's just hard to believe that the film will not be mentioned that day.
