"GTA 6" is expected to be the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto game franchise. However, up until now, fans know little about it because even people from Rockstar Games have not release any details about it yet.
There were previous reports that "GTA 6" is already in the works, but Rockstar had to stop it for a while in order to focus on creating DLCs for "GTA 5" first. Now, because of this, fans of the game are having doubts if Rockstar even started planning to make the game at all.
Moreover, the lack of official details about "GTA 6" is frustrating avid gamers since they have been consistently expressing their excitement and anticipation of the supposed new edition of Grand Theft Auto. Despite all of this, fans have their hopes up that the game is really coming.
Perhaps, the clamor for the next installment of "GTA" was brought about by the fact that it has been six years already since "GTA 5" was released. Although the game has been around for a while, there are still lots of things going on with the game as it is being constantly updated.
In fact, it has maintained its popularity and still being played by millions of players worldwide. The recent release of the "GTA 5" Biker DLC even brought back the game to the top of gaming charts in the U.S. and anywhere else.
It is clear that Grand Theft Auto 5 is still popular so the reasoning that Rockstar Games suspended the production of "GTA 6" for the meantime, to have more time for "GTA 5," is plausible. In addition, on GTA forums, it was stated that the game garnered $700 million in sales last year and with this huge figure, it is no wonder why Rockstar decided to put "GTA 6" on hold.
Is Rockstar still Planning to Release Grand Theft Auto 6?
Some game experts said that the gaming company has not shown signs that it will be releasing a new game but stressed that there is a possibility that they will work on "GTA 6" since fans are clamoring for it. If it will push through, they predicted that the earliest that it will be released is 2018. Lastly, experts also analyzed that if Rockstar is making "GTA 6," it might be announced on the next E3 in 2017.
