Google Pixel and Pixel XL, OEM's first smartphones that reportedly come with the tech company's trademark, are now set for the much-awaited launch. Although made by HTC, Google claims to have the final call from the design up to the final finishes. With that, smartphone geeks are now excited to find out what sets the initial 100 percent Google smartphones apart from the others in the market.
Google Pixel Design Not Similar To Nexus 5x, 6P
The design of Google Pixel smartphones are reported to be very different from the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in 2015. Both new Pixels are packed in a pair of glass and aluminium that place them close to the design of 2016 HTC A9. Other features include large bezels on the front that likely show the stereo speakers, including chamfered edges.

Google Pixel smartphones are also reported to differ in terms of their respective screen size. The regular Pixel comes in a 5-inch screen and a 1080p resolution. On the other hand, the XL features a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen, which is believed to render 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolutions.
Google Pixel 32GB is available for pre-order in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Germany for $649. On the other hand, 128 GB Pixel XL will cost $749, $469 for its 32GB variant and $868 for its 128GB version. Both smartphones will officially release on Oct. 20, according to reports.

Meanwhile, Google has announced that both Pixel phones' Android software updates will be delivered by Verizon. These include the units bought from Best Buy given that the electronic store carries the Pixel models of Verizon instead of the unlocked models of the smartphones by Google. However, for those Pixel phones bought through the Google Store, the tech company is reported to handle updates themselves.
