"Longmire" Season 5 had just been aired on Netflix for a full 10 serialized episode on September 23. Amazingly, the show was a big hit among the web fans. It got an enormous following that gathered more than six million people hooked on the web screen in a one day streaming.
A review of "Longmire" Season 5's storyline brought the audience back to a cliff-hanger' ending of season 4. Taking off from episode 1, Sheriff Walt Longmire was shot by an unknown assailant, IGN reported . Meanwhile, Dr. Donna was kidnapped. The fictional county of Absaroka perfectly fit into the story's location.
Depicting many twists and turns of the events, "Longmire" Season 5 folded up with episode 10 bearing the title "the Stuff Dreams Are Made Of". All in all, starting from Season 1, the series had brought to the viewers 53 episodes since its debut at the A&E network in June 2012.

In an interview with Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips released through Youtube, the two stars did a flashback of the scenes of season 5. Most importantly, the two stars praised Netflix for giving the show a big boost for a positive renewal for "Longmire" Season 6.

With Netflix as the series' savior in season 5, hopefully, "Longmire" Season 6 will have richer and more episodes for the viewers. The writer John Craig has just released a novela on Longmire mysteries, giving hope for the series' continuous airing in season 6, according to Gamenguide.
Sackhoff and Phillips did not declare any word from Netflix for the "Longmire" Season 6 instalment. However, they admit a big possibility for the go signal very soon as shown by the praises for the last season's performance. Netflix have reviewed the storyline and scripts and indicated a vote for season 6
