The "Titanfall 2" release date, which is set at the end of this month, marks the second installment of developer Respawn Entertainment's first person shooter title. Apparently, gamers have a lot to look forward to with the vastly improved gameplay which did not even escape the eyes of the critics.
Critically Acclaimed 'Titanfall 2' Gameplay
Even before the official "Titanfall 2" release date, the game has already won its first Game Critics Award during the 2016 E3 event. It was also nominated for the Best of Show, Best Action Game and Best Online Multiplayer categories.
'Titanfall 2' Gameplay - New Mechanics, New Titans
With the arrival of the "Titanfall 2" release date, players will be able to control the pilots as well as seven new design gigantic mech/exoskeletons also known as titans. As pilots, players will have access to various abilities such as as parkour, zip-lining, wall-running with the help of a boost pack, invisibility cloaking and double jumping.
The upcoming title will also introduce new mechanics to the franchise. When "Titanfall 2" release date comes, player can utilize new gameplay mechanics such as sliding, pulse blade, a holographic pilot and a grappling hook that can slingshot players for additional mobility.
In addition, the coming "Titanfall 2" release date also marks the arrival of six new titans. Once players gather enough points, they may summon titans, whose slightly slower pace is more than compensated for by the devastating firepower and durability they possess.
Scorch, one of the types of titans that becomes available once "Titanfall 2" release date arrives, comes loaded with incendiary weapons. On the other hand, another titan Ion specializes in energy beam weaponry, while Ronin, like its Japanese namesake, carries a giant sword and fights like a true samurai most effective in close quarters battles. Another type of titan is named Legion, said to be a good defensive build while Tone relies on its lock-on targeted weapons. Lastly, Northstar is the only type of titan with flight capability and excels in traps and precision targeting.
'Titanfall 2' Gameplay Rated M
Recently, the Entertainment Software Rating Board revealed its verdict on the upcoming title from Respawn and published by Electronic Arts. According to the ESRB, the "Titanfall 2" gameplay warrants an M rating and is suitable for mature gamers aged 17 and above.
ESRB cites that the "Titanfall 2" gameplay contains some weapons that results in enemies exploding into chunks of flesh and sprays of blood. The board also notes that "the word 'sh*t' is heard in the dialogue."
'Titanfall 2' Release Date
Fans of the first person shooter will not have too long to wait though. A gory-filled battle is coming when "Titanfall 2" release date arrives this coming October 28. The title will be available to a variety of platforms such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
