Claire Danes and showrunner Alex Gansa recently graced the "Homeland" panel at New York's Paley Center for Media and talked about the coming "Homeland" Season 6. The two were with the show's other cast members and executive producers and revealed little tidbits what fans could expect in their coming return.
Carrie, Peter's Relationship Will Continue In 'Homeland' Season 6?
Claire Danes, who plays Carrie Mathison, revealed that Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) is very much alive and will undergo a therapy in New York City. The 37-year-old star revealed that Carrie will also stay in New York to look after Peter going through his sessions, per Variety. Does this mean that the two protagonists' relationship will still continue in "Homeland" Season 6?
Additionally, Mandy Patinkin, who portrays Saul Berenson, described that Carrie is like a "Vitamix" in "Homeland" Season 6 for being a good influence to everyone. "Everything that we would think is good for our bodies goes into her. If he puts them near or in the Vitamix they will come out and make you a stronger person," he said. The 63-year-old voice artist also believed that Saul has a strong faith that Carrie can fight the terrorism even though she's no longer with the CIA.
Alex Gansa Hints Show's Storyline!
Moreover, Alex Gansa, too, hinted that "Homeland" Season 6 will focus on "counter-terrorism efforts" in New York City after the 9/11 terrorist attack happened, TV Guide reported. "'Homeland' wants to objectively sit back and look at how scared we should be. I don't think Homeland wants to contribute to that fear. ... It's not going to be a story about a bomb going off," he said. The screenwriter even revealed that "Homeland" Season 6 will tackle a different story compared to what they did in the previous season. "Homeland" Season 6 will return on Jan. 15 on Showtime at 9:00 p.m.
