Hit game "Star Wars: The Old Republic" is almost turning five, and the developers have something very big for all its players: a new trailer of an upcoming expansion. The latest expansion is called "Star Wars: Knights of the Eternal Throne" and it is going to be released this coming December for all players to enjoy.
Reports claim that the six minute trailer for the latest expansion looks into the story of a Jedi and her daughter as she grows with grace and her Force gets stronger as she ages. The trailer then merges in with the story of last year's trailer of the "Knights of the Fallen Empire" expansion. A little later on, the trailer shows the separation of the mother from the daughter, and the latter falling into the Dark Side and becoming a Sith.
As the trailer ends, the trailer shows the mother and daughter reunited, but fighting with each other as the daughter's senses have already been fully consumed by the Dark Side. Game developer Bioware, in describing the upcoming expansion, says that a player would be an Outlander and command a team of hand-picked allies as one faces some of the most notorious families in the Star Wars franchise. Mother will go against daughter, sister against brother; the fight is so desperate just so that one could gain control of the throne.
A player will get to decide who will live, who will die, and ultimately who will rule the vast galaxy. Forbes reports that the new cinematic CGI trailer is entitled "Betrayed," and set the tone for the new expansion which will be coming out very soon. The clip is packed with strong emotion and feels more like a short film instead of a trailer for a game expansion and was created by Blur Studio.
In this upcoming expansion, players will be facing off with Empress Vaylin and Emperor Valkorian as one seeks to establish dominance over the galaxy; one's decisions in the game will also influence the story and the entire universe. Bioware also says that "Knights of the Eternal Throne" will feature five brand new levels, nine whole chapters and two new planets that will fit perfectly into the story and its universe. This upcoming expansion called "Knights of the Eternal Throne" will launch this coming December 2, 2016 for the PC platform.
