Fox Sports reports that "WWE" has recently announced that the Royal Rumble will take place on January 29th at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. One of the most exciting features of the Royal Rumbles which happen each year is the surprise comebacks from some of the most popular stars that have ever stepped on the wrestling mat. Last 2015, fans were treated to the return of familiar faces such as Diamond Dallas Page and Bubba Ray Dudley and the year before, it was superstar Kevin Nash. Now that the Royal Rumble is set to be staged in Texas, this could mean a big thing since a lot of "WWE" legends call the Lone Star state home.
The last time that the Royal Rumble took place in the Alamodome was 20 years ago, where no other than Stone Cold Steve Austin won the rumble. This win was considered by critics as controversial since he was eliminated by Bret Hart; only being grounded on the fact that the ring official never saw Austin step out of the ring. This controversial dispute gave rise to the Hart-Austin match at WrestleMania 13, which is considered one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time.
