The new Command & Conquer will bring a beloved PC franchise back into fashion with drastic modern changes. EA and Victory Games, the studio formerly known as Bioware Victory, plans to ditch the stream of iterative RTS sequels and expansions in favor of a persistant free-to-play system that feels make the franchise feel like a service than a single game.
Though change may be scary, especially with a series that has remained largely untouched for years now, fans aren't going to have a hard time recognizing Command & Conquer. Based on these screenshots, anyone who's played a C&C game, especially Command and Conquer: Generals, will know their away around.
Command & Conquer will enter beta on PC later this year.
