‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Third Party Trackers Stay Up Despite Niantic Threat

Niantic has been implementing various measures to discourage “Pokemon Go” players from using third-party apps, the severe punishment of which is an account ban. However, there are still some players who could care less and perhaps the reason why tracker apps are still up available.

The only difference is that unlike before, “Pokemon Go” tracker apps have seen only a few in existence. This includes the likes of PokeMesh and PokeWhere which are still up and running though issues reportedly come included.

PokeMesh still up to date

Pokemesh recently rolled out an update for the obvious intent of aiding “Pokemon Go” players better experience. The update was a small one that was meant to address a recurring issue that has annoyed gamers for quite some time now.

This includes the erring notification issue and an added captcha resolution. As mentioned in a previous post, one of the big updates that Niantic will be adding is Google Captcha in an effort to nail down bots and scanners which are against the “Pokemon Go” terms of service.

Is PokeWhere Still Relevant?

Another app is PokeWhere, a scanning app that comes with a map and makes use of GPS to pinpoint a “Pokemon Go” player’s location. Its main purpose is to aid gamers by showing the monsters nearby. PokeWhere has been plagued by security issues though the people behind it keep “Pokemon Go” players up to date with changes via Twitter.

The two apps are still standing despite Niantic’s initiative of making it doubly hard with the captcha feature pegged to find out if the one behind the device is human or a bot. “Pokemon Go” players may be getting away with scanners right now though all that may come to an end once the feature rolls out. Niantic has not made an official announcement on when the Google Captcha will be integrated to “Pokemon Go” as of this writing.
