There's three weeks more before Halloween arrives, but it seems that fans of Blizzard Entertainment's "Overwatch" is getting an early treat. This is no trick, as the Xbox Store seems to have accidentally posted details about the upcoming Halloween Terror event.
According to VG24/7, the Xbox Store has listed an upcoming Halloween Terror event for "Overwatch," detailing some exclusive new content for the multiplayer first-person shooter video game. The listing also details the new Halloween Loot Boxes, which will be available beginning November 1 at 4 p.m. According to the listing, these Halloween Loot Boxes contain up to four cosmetic items, with at least one Halloween skin, spray, highlight intro, emote, victory pose, player icon, and voice line.
The Halloween Loot Boxes for "Overwatch" may also include credits that gamers can use to unlock other amazing Halloween Terror event items. Gamers are encouraged to set out trick or treating for as much as 100 new items for "Overwatch." In the event that gamers receive an item that they already have, they would receive coins instead.
IGN reports that some fans are skeptical about the listing thanks to the skull design on the candy in the background of the listing. The design is of the character Sombra, who has been rumored to be the next hero in "Overwatch." However, her reveal isn't supposed to come for another 10 days, given that she's part of a separate "Overwatch" ARG.
Fans who are looking forward to the "Overwatch" Halloween Terror event on November 1 should know that it will only run until November 11. It seems that the event will follow the format of the Summer Games, featuring themed items that are available for just a short period of time.
