As the library of the Xbox One backwards compatibility continues to expand, as three new titles and a future remastered titles arrives on the catalog this week. They include "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed," "Puzzle Quest 2" and "Puzzle Quest Galactrix." The announcement came from Larry Hryb's (Major Nelson) official twitter account.
According to the EXPRESS UK, the "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" was carried through the Xbox One backwards compatibility list after over 5,000 votes were casted on the title. "Puzzle Quest Galactrix" on the other hand received 500 votes while the "Puzzle Quest 2" garnered 1,200 votes. Meanwhile, the "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" is said to have the biggest file size, taking up 4GB of space and has the longest download and playtime according to sources.
Also, a walk down memory lane is about to happen as "Voodoo Vince" Remastered also arrives on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. According to the developer Beep Game's Clayton Kauzlaric, the remastered game, originally designed for the Xbox will arrive on the Xbox One console and Windows 10 in the first quarter of 2017.
According to the latest update, while most of the game's animation and large part of its gameplay remains untouched, "Voodoo Vince" Remastered on the Xbox One backwards compatibility will jump from the standard definition resolution to 1080p widescreen and run at 60 frames per second (fps).
"Voodoo Vince" is one of the first Microsoft titles available when it launched the Xbox console platform. Thirteen years later, it returns as an Xbox One backwards compatibility title. "Voodoo Vince" lets players take control of Vince, a Voodoo doll that collects items, solves puzzles and inflicts pain to himself in order to beat his enemies.
