It's been two weeks since Hollywood was shocked by the split of high-profile couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" stars have been quite about the whole ordeal but reports about Pitt being depressed afterwards surfaced. The 52-year-old actor and the 41-year-old actress are committed to making the divorce process less heartbreaking for the entire family as much as possible, but it can't be denied that the journey ahead can be tough.
An extended family friend for the estranged couple has come forward to speak up about how Brad Pitt felt about the whole divorce situation with his wife of two years. Kris Herzog told Hollywood Life that the "Fight Club" actor is devastated and that he is "regretful for anything he may have done that caused this divorce and his separation from his children, whom he loves with all his heart." Herzog, who was also the former security consultant of the family, added that both "By the Sea" stars put their kids first and would do everything just to keep them happy and safe.
A source who's familiar with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's situation confirmed to People that the "Tomb Raider" actress and all her six children have started attending therapy sessions. Following the couple's shocking split, Jolie and the rest of the kids stayed at a rental home in Los Angeles with friends and her brother, James Haven. A source shared that the children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, stayed in the rental house for days without going out.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have agreed on a temporary custody deal, in which Jolie has full custody while Pitt gets visitation with a therapist present during the first meeting. On October 20, the temporary arrangement will end as there will be new recommendations coming from the Department of Child and Family Services. While Jolie has started the therapy, Kerzog added that Pitt will also be in attendance to comply with the arrangement.
