The favorite science fiction thriller from Canada, "Orphan Black" Season 5, is about to take its final bow as the end of Tatiana Maslany's clones are about to come. The 31-year-old star recently received her first Emmy award for her invaluable stint for the show, but everything has to come to an end.
Fans To See A New Branch Of Contemporary Science?
Tatiana Maslany told TVGuide that all her eight special clones, like Sarah Manning, Alison Hendrix and Cosima Niehaus, will have different kinds of endings. "Some of them might not be happy, and some of them might be a little tragic," she said while on the red carpet for the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. The showrunners Jordan Gavaris and Graeme Manson also talked about the coming "Orphan Black" Season 5.
The two executive producers revealed that there will be a new branch of contemporary science coming in "Orphan Black" Season 5. "We try and explore a new branch of contemporary science every year and this year, we're looking at prolongevity and life extension, which is a very interesting and topical science right now," they told TVLine. However, they also disclosed that "Orphan Black" Season 5 won't be graced by new clones, but fans are about to see a completely different one.
Will There Be An 'Orphan Black' Spinoff Or Movie Adaptation?
Jordan Gavaris and Graeme Manson added that there will be a "unique genetic copy" coming in "Orphan Black" Season 5. They, too, are planning to make its existence even bigger and further that will surely surprise their fans.
Meanwhile, as "Orphan Black" gathered a lot of fans and already hit all-time-high ratings, there are swirling rumors that spinoff or a movie adaptation is about to come, Movie News Guide reported. Of course, the film will be led by Tatiana Maslany herself. "Orphan Black" Season 5 will air in 2017 on BBC America.
