Wrestler and actor Bill Goldberg is expected to be the special guest on ESPN this week where he will be shedding more light regarding his inclusion for WWE 2K17. But aside from that, expect former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman to throw him a lot of hot questions topped by his possible return to the WWE ring.
WWE 2K17 is set to be released on Oct. 11 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and Goldberg has been cheerfully obliging to helping promote the said game. The last time the WWE universe saw Goldberg was at Wrestlemania 20 where he won over Brock Lesnar.
As mentioned in a previous post, Goldberg has left the doors open for a possible WWE return. A prime reason for the former WWE/ WCW star is to satisfy the wishes of his son. Being included in WWE 2K17 was already one wish granted but actual competition is, of course, different.
Goldberg return to be announced soon?
Seeing that Goldberg and the WWE are talking, there is growing belief that such may include his potential return to the group. The Wrestling Observer Radio claims that both sides are in very strong discussions which could mean that something has already been sealed or at least close to that.
Assuming that Goldberg and Vince McMahon have worked something out, the next thing to figure is when the 49-year-old star could return. Also, it would be interesting who he would target.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman did tease something close to that before, even using Goldberg’s patented phrase “You’re Next” on Goldberg. A good event to see the two powerhouses collide would be at Wrestlemania 33 but the fact is Goldberg needs to work his way back to the WWE first.
That said, we could see him at the WWE Royal Rumble 2017 at the latest to prime up that card. But would this be a one-time deal or for keeps?
