Last night's episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 brought the squad back together to bring down big bad Figgis, guest star Eric Roberts. The episode truly felt like home, with the squad back together after what seemed like a tumultuous six months without Captain Ray Holt and Detective Jake Peralta in the precinct.
Last night on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, we saw the brief return of "Parks and Recreation" star Jim O'Heir as the backward-thinking Florida sheriff, with whom we were all taken by surprise when Figgis shot. Thankfully, he's still alive, which means more opportunities to bring "Jerry" back to the 99th precinct. We also saw Jake and Amy reunite to bring down Figgis, but not before several awkward exchanges. Typical for a couple who have been separated for six months.
Our favorite moments from last night's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" also include Charles competition with Sergeant Terry Jeffords. Charles is a new dad to his four-year old adoptive son, Nikolaj, and given his competitive streak, could not help but compare his parenting skills to the daddy-in-charge of the precinct, Terry.
We also saw another nod to the lack of gun control, as this episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 saw Gina casually purchasing a gun at a rest stop. Of course, the weapon was Rosa-approved as expected. Speaking of Gina, she had a shining moment when she word-vomited a bunch of foreign-sounding words to argue with a woman just to get Holt a hand truck.
While "Coral Palms Pt. 3" is the last of the witness protection trilogy on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, there's so much more to look forward to in the coming weeks. When the squad heads back to the precinct, they'll be facing the consequences of leaving their posts. The new captain, played by Ken Marino, has sent them all to night shift, much to Terry's horror. We're guessing he'll have to record more lullabies for his kids on his phone from now on.
We'll have to see how having Captain Holt back at the precinct will play out for Marino's captain as well. We're also looking forward to the "New Girl" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" hour-long crossover episode, which new footage you'll see below. Don't forget to catch the crossover on October 11, Tuesday, beginning 8 p.m. on FOX.
