Samsung recently went through a very tough phase due to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall. The company had to issue a quick global recall of the smartphone after reports started flooding of units catching fire due to faulty batteries.
Consumers who bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 early had to turn in their devices and were handed over a new one. Now the situation is far better as the handset has gone on sale again after the fiasco.
The new units that are now being sold are reportedly safe. Even issues such as fast battery draining and overheating have been fixed. Hopefully, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units won't burst into flames anymore. The handsets are now available in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral color options.
The South Korean mobile manufacturer re-launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on Oct. 1 in its home country. It's already enthusiastically promoting the re-launch there and will soon start doing so in other countries as well. The company has reportedly shipped the new handsets to authorized retailers, carriers and other partners, reports Tech Times.
The mobile maker has included new battery indicators in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 so that people can identify the new handsets from the old ones. The moment a user presses and holds the power key, the Always On display, the Power Off screen and a green battery icon on the Status Bar pops up.
Samsung has reported that consumers' interest in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has not dwindled with many existing users exchanging their phones for new ones. This means the vigorously talked-about device may still be able to compete with Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
