Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is supposed to be the biggest and scariest villain in the hit zombie series "The Walking Dead." The character so compellingly portrayed by Morgan made his entrance in the season 6 finale and brutally murdered one of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) men, which shocked millions of fans all around the world. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to reveal more about the psychopathic and tough leader of the Saviors, who, according to a new report, is actually gay.
There have been reports suggesting that Negan's sexuality will be revealed in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. For one, people have noticed that the Saviors leader has an unusual liking for Carl (Chandler Riggs). It can be recalled in the shocking season 6 cliffhanger finale that Negan told Rick's son that he intends to spare him from any harm he would do to the Alexandria group. In the comics, Carl is safe and has even formed a bond with Negan and the two are actually pretty close. Some fans have formulated theories that Negan actually likes Carl more than just as a son.
There are also those who theorize that the reason why Daryl (Norman Reedus) gets to go with the Saviors in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is because Negan fancies him. Whether or not Negan is homosexual doesn't really matter, as pointed out by one forum member in SpoiltheDead. It would be interesting to see how the TV series could deviate from the original material and make Negan a gay character.
Meanwhile, there are those who protest saying that Negan is not gay. What the character feels toward Carl is strictly a need to parent him. In addition, Negan actually has sort of a harem back at his camp. He keeps the women to himself - and these women are technically still married to their husbands. They submit to Negan's demands; otherwise, they suffer the consequences. "The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns to AMC on Oct. 23.
