Ronda Rousey, the former UFC women's bantamweight champion, is the biggest star ever according to Dana White. In an interview, the UFC president said that no one have ever come close to the Olympic medalist. Not even Conor McGregor who surpassed the million mark with his last three fights.
Dana White believes that Ronda Rousey is UFC's biggest star ever because of her fight with Bethe Correia in Brazil. White said that Brazilians naturally want their own players to win, but when the 29 year old American went to their homeland, they cheered for her instead of Correia. He said in a report by Yahoo Sports that he has never seen a fight like that and probably there will never be one again.
Fans may be wondering what Conor McGregor has to say about Dana White's statement that Ronda Rousey is UFC's biggest star ever. Some believes that McGregor will have the biggest card when he will face Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, making it his third million mark PPV. Rousey only hit the same mark twice: her fight with Holm and the other with Miesha Tate. In fact, Rousey's fight at UFC 168 was not attributed to her alone because there was also the highly anticipated fight between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva.
On the other hand, Ronda Rousey had brought so many attention to UFC that Dana White have called her the biggest star ever. Rousey has appeared in "The Expendables," "Furious 7" and "Entourage." She has also written a book with title "My Fight / Your Fight" which is selling in Amazon for $19.74. Other books about the UFC fighter also include "UFC: Ronda Breaking Ground" and "The Inspirational Story f UFC Superstar Ronda Rousey."
Sadly, fans still do not know when they will see Ronda Rousey fight again. Dana White seems to believe that when she announced she needed a break, she needed a break for good.
