Cody Rhodes is one wrestling superstar that many fans of the industry may know quite well. Now, after his departure from the company which he was greatly known for, bigger things may be looking over the horizon for the wrestling royalty.
As some may know, Cody Rhodes (Cody Garrett Runnels in real life) has made quite an impact in the professional wrestling industry care of the WWE which he has spent good ample time in. Following the steps of his late father an WWE Hall of Famer "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Cody can be recalled by many on having quite a great mainstream run for the company which then came to screeching halt a few months back.
According to Wrestle Zone, Cody Rhodes once donned an alternate identity known as Stardust, a seemingly odder version of the Goldust persona made by his real-life brother, Dustin Patrick Runnels. Rhodes allegedly left the WWE with a mutual decision from the company's end, after which he was spotted on multiple occasions affiliating himself with "Arrow" star Stephen Amell.
Recently, the actor was confirmed on getting a part on the hit TV show and even had to use his middle and last name for the character he is to portray. However, it is now a fact that Cody Rhodes dropped the name and is to use Derek Sampson instead, with everything else about the character staying intact.
24 Wresting reported that as for his wrestling career, Cody Rhodes made his TNA debut during the Bound For Glory pay-per-view, bringing his wife Brandi Rhodes; formerly known as Eden in the WWE. His appearance at the said event became explosive and hinted his conflict against Mike Bennett, with the possibility of Brandi also clashing against Maria Kanellis.
So far, the career of Cody Rhodes has flown regardless of how things ended up while he was in the WWE. Becoming one of the company's most in-demand stars at one point, the future could only hold great things for the thirty-one-year-old athlete.
No disclosure yet has come on what Cody Rhodes' entire TNA Impact Wrestling story line will hold. For that, fans of the multi-character superstar should stay put.
