As the return of "Homeland" Season 6 is fast approaching, details about the show are now emerging online. In fact, co-creator Alex Gansa talked about the coming TV series and other things about the life of the protagonists Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) and Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes).
Peter Quinn Depicts Terror Attack Aftermath In 'Homeland' Season 6
It has been known that Peter Quinn is alive and will be seen in "Homeland" Season 6, but fans will see a different side of him. "He suffered a major stroke last season and his very existence was in question ... You're going to see a very changed and altered Quinn this year," the screenwriter said, per Inquisitr. The role of Rupert Friend has been used to test the effect of sarin gas from the terrorists and now, he will be seen depicting the aftermath of the attack on the people.
"This coming season, [Quinn] will represent a very profound and familiar casualty of the war on terror for our audience. What he endured last year is different than what he'll go through this year," Alex Gansa added. Peter Quinn's relationship with Carrie will also evolve in the coming "Homeland" Season 6. The publication noted that his relationship with Carrie might be affected as Peter has to deal with the repercussions of his stroke and his inner demons.
No Room For Peter, Carrie's Romance In 'Homeland' Season 6
Meanwhile, "Homeland" Season 6 will start with a time jump, so fans are expecting to witness what happened with their characters over the years. Aside from Peter Quinn's changes, Carrie, too, would have a different kind of journey that she would take alone. Hence, viewers might see a little romance between Carrie and Peter in "Homeland" Season 6, International Business Times reported.
Claire Dane even asserted that her character as Carrie would be very busy trying to save the world in "Homeland" Season 6, emphasizing that she has no room for a relationship with Peter. Rupert Friend even explained that Carrie and Peter are both damaged people that have the eye for dangerous things that could lead up to hazardous ending. "Homeland" Season 6 will air on Jan. 15, 2017 on Showtime.
