“Pokemon Go” remains one of the top mobile games via app sites despite dishes that the patented augmented reality game from Niantic may be on the decline. Reports note the decrease in active players though there are different reasons tied up to such.
That includes the crackdown Niantic did on erring players, the ones who used third-party apps to gain some headway on “Pokemon Go”. The list included trackers, mostly apps that made unwarranted access to game servers. Some of this was tackled in a previous post.
Aside from that, there is the tightening on which mobile devices could play the game with Niantic forbidding jailbroken or rooted devices. Still and all, there is a whole wide world of gamers out there who could play “Pokemon Go” even without hacks or tools.
Are "Pokemon Go" players ready to risk it?
Various hacks for “Pokemon Go” has come out, both legal and illegal. There is even one hack that allows you to get from one point to another with the aid of a joystick. As most know, the only way for an avatar to move is if the one holding the device gets a move on.
BGR weighed in on the said hack, something rendered in a video by avid YouTuber iCrackUriDevice. That video can be viewed below but the essence of it all is allowing gamers to move in “Pokemon Go” while not really budging in reality.
No Jailbreak needed
As mentioned earlier, Niantic has taken a stance against jailbroken or rooted phones which normally facilitate hacks. The good news is that this “Pokemon Go” hack runs without the aid of jailbreaks (in a separate report by BGR) of such but is still technically illegal.
It may only be a matter of time before Niantic pins down this glitch and whether gamers would bear some form of punishment. Some “Pokemon Go” players have been possessed by the game thus far so the risk behind using this hack will entirely be left up to them.
Check out the video of that hack below.
