There's less than a week to go before fans can finally explore the fictional world of New Boudreaux in Hangar 13 and 2K Games' "Mafia 3." The game is arriving to retailers this Friday, October 7, and the new game will feature striking cinematics and animal threats.
The highly anticipated "Mafia 3" is arriving this Friday and the latest to come off the pipeline from media outlets that already have a copy is that the new game has impressive striking cinematics. Stuff has nothing but praises for the narrative scenes of the game, which are commonly glossed over by gamers.
They added that these scenes were "done in a surprisingly effective documentary-style," enabling a unique kind of story-telling that "[heigtens] the tension" in "Mafia 3." While gamers are to play the protagonist, Lincoln Clay in the game, some scenes which Clay isn't part of will still be shown to the gamer, adding a different layer to the story. On top of the engaging story and striking cinematics, "Mafia 3" also has an impressive soundtrack.
Meanwhile, Cinemablend reports that "Mafia 3" fans should also look forward to battling not just mob bosses but also some wildlife. The game will include some alligators in some swampy areas of New Boudreaux, which is actually based on New Orleans. For more on those threats, head over to IGN.
Over at Prima Games, fans can check out the Collector's Edition of "Mafia 3," which includes a full color, 28-page calendar, and an array of awesome bonus material. Fans can get their hands on the Case Files Bonus Section, which features FBI documents, surveillance photos, newspaper clippings, deciphered postcard messages, and more about New Bordeaux. There's also the Full Story Walkthrough, Detailed Maps, and Rule the City, a guide on how to navigate the open world, wiretapping, combat, weapons, vehicles, underbosses, and more.
