Fans are definitely excited about the upcoming CW hit series "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. On the show's next run, the production company promises to deliver more entertaining episodes as the story becomes more interesting following the last season's finale. Xiomara Villanueva or Xo, played by the 38-year-old actress Andrea Navedo, found out during the last episode that she is pregnant without any clue as to who the father might be. She always has a colorful life, even more so than her daughter Jane Villanueva, played by Gina Rodriguez.
Apparently, the first few episodes of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will focus on the interesting love life of Xo. According to reports, the production team will add the "Desperate Housewives" actor Ricardo Chavira in the show's third season. The 45-year-old actor is set to play Xo's ex-boyfriend before she decided to get married. However, there is still no report suggesting the name of the new character.
What's interesting is that another "Desperate Housewives" star, Eva Longoria, will be joining the team as a director of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 Episode 3, which will be titled "Chapter Forty-Seven." Longoria and Chavira had played together as husband and wife in all eight seasons of "Desperate Housewives."
Meanwhile, according to reports, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will most likely pick up where the last episode of Season 2 left off. Xo could not tell who the father of the baby is as she also slept with her ex-husband's arch nemesis, Esteban Santiago, played by Keller Wortham. However, there are speculations suggesting that the baby could belong to her ex, Rogelio Dela Vega, played by Jamie Camil. The upcoming episodes will certainly dictate the story of the whole season.
It has been revealed by executive producer Jennie Urman during an interview with TVLine that "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will definitely involve pregnancy. "Well, maybe a pregnancy but not necessarily a baby" Urman said. "Petra was trying to get herself pregnant. Xo, we know very well, does not want to have another baby." Stay tuned for more news and update about the upcoming "Jane the Virgin" Season 3.
