"Battlefield 1" is yet to arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Oct.21 but it is already expected to release a new DLC, "Giant's Shadow" in December. The DLC does not need to be purchased as it will be offered free to all players but those who pre-order the game will receive the DLC a week earlier than the rest. The weapons are expected to roll out like Maps and DLCs as well as not all weapons are expected to be released at first launch.
"Giant's Shadow" will show the Battle of the Selle in France in 1918, GameSpot reported. The name "Giant's Shadow" comes from the massive airship that crashed in an open field casting a shadow over the battlefield. The British forces have penetrated the Hindenburg line and are in pursuit of an important railway center, Game Developer EA Dice said.
The violent infantry and tank engagements emerge on the open ground and the river bangs beside the Cateu-Wassigny railway with the armored train will turn the tide, Video Gamer reported. This map will be similar to the Sinai Desert from "Battlefield 1" beta because of its armored train. There will be deadly weapons found on the train.
Other maps that included are The St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Monte Grappa and Empire's Edge. More arenas to "Battlefield 1" are expected to be added through various DLC packs. First, "They Shall Not Pass" is set to come out in March 2017. Overall, EA DICE promised to release four expansion packs, and add a total of 16 new multiplayer maps to the game.
Meanwhile, "Battlefield 1" beta finished last week with 13.2 million people who played the game. This is reportedly the most successful beta in EA's history and in the studio. With its imminent release, DICE has revealed some information on all kit weapons and their arrival.
"Battlefield 1" is not expected to come out with all kit-weapons except for sidearms at first launch, Battlefied Bulletin has learned. Kit weapons are essential and can be used with any class. EA Dice has expanded the selection to include Designated Marksman Rifles, carbines, among others. Sidearms will be available immediately with the other weapons joining shortly thereafter.
