LG X Power with MediaTek Helio P10 processor has recently been announced by Sprint. Based on reports, this is the first time for the carrier to offer smartphones with a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, as it mostly carries mobile devices that are powered by Qualcomm chipsets.
The LG X Power specs are reportedly intended for the mid-range market, however, this does not mean it is behind the other mobile devices like the Samsung Galaxy A3 models. The new smartphone comes with a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which may seem new to for some users that usually look for phones with Snapdragon chipsets.
Sprint's LG X Power will also include 4100 mAh battery along with a 2GB of RAM, beside the Helio P10 processor. Compared with other mid-range smartphones, this new LG X Power comes with a 5.3-inch screen and FHD 1080p resolution instead of 720p.
LG X Power features a 1.8GHz octa-core processor as well as a Mali-T860 GPU, which clocks at 700MHz that can deal with even the latest 3D graphic-heavy video games. Given its large battery capacity, the device is expected to get more than the needed energy in a day on a one-time charging alone, despite some heavy gaming or browsing use. Considering that the usual problems in all mobile devices is the battery life, LG X Power's more than 400mAh could likely become a competitor in terms of battery capacity, Yibada reported.
Meanwhile, LG's 77-inch 4K OLED will begin shipping in October, competing with 4K resolution and HDR compatibility. According to the company, its new massive OLED 2016 version will cost $19,999.
Reports also confirmed pre-orders at select retailers, and for $20K, interested buyers may also sign up for a 24/4 VIP service that offers one-on-one customer support. In addition, by registering a display, they can also get a $200 AmEx gift card, including LG G Pad tablet, ENGadget reported.
