Nexus 8 is reportedly being prepared following the success of the ASUS-manufactured Nexus 7 when it hit the market in 2013. Based on a leak, Google is believed to be planning to launch a 7-inch tablet that comes with a 4GB of RAM at the end of the year.
In a leak tweeted by Evan Blass, he mentioned that the new device will be manufactured by Huawei, which also made Google's Nexus 6P smartphone last year. However, the leaker did not give additional information about the upcoming Nexus 7 successor.
The Nexus 8 rumors initially emerged in December last year, when it was believed to be released in May 2016. The rumored tablet is expected to come with flagship specifications, including the latest version of Android and inspired by the Google Pixel C tablet, just like the Nexus 6P, reports GamenGuide.
Previous reports also indicated that Nexus 8 will be run by either the Nvidia Tegra X1 processor, which is also found in Google Pixel C, or by Kirin 950 chipset by Huawei. While it was also rumored to come with 2GB of RAM only, leaker Blass stated that it will carry a 4GB of RAM instead. Based on this, it could mean that Google have already upgraded the earlier revealed possible specifications.
