Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) will once again make his fans laugh in the return of "Shameless" Season 7, but it looks like it will be more dramatic this time. In an interview with the 66-year-old star at Showtime's Emmy Eve party, he revealed some things that viewers are going to see on their comeback.
William H. Macy Hints Unique 'Shameless' Season 7
According to William H. Macy, fans are going to witness a different "Shameless" Season 7 compared to its predecessors. In fact, it will be a rough road for Frank as a combination of good and bad things are about to come his way. "I think they are going to start this season with an underwater ballet. I've seen a little bit of it and it's pretty stunning," he told Huffington Post. "It's funny and beautiful. It's grotesque, that's what it is ... It's beautiful and ugly at the same time."
"Shameless" Season 7 is set in Chicago and William H. Macy believed that it also adds a big twist to the show's story. He also described the new location is highly considered by the writers, who can also go off in other places. The theater director also took pride that their show is resonated because of the great characters they have and no matter what happens, it would always be about family.
Fans, Will See Less Of Fiona? Ian, Mickey Will Rekindle Their Romance?
Meanwhile, in "Shameless" Season 7, fans will now see Frank wakes up from a long coma after he floated all the way up to Lake Michigan. Eventually, he learns that his family is the one responsible for throwing him away in the water. However, Frank manages to survive and will only keep his distance from his kin, except for his youngest, Liam (Brenden Sims).
Frank will take the kid under his care, but it seems Fiona (Emmy Rossum) didn't seem to care. Fiona will now make herself a priority and will focus more on attending to Patsy's Pies business. Fans, too, might see less of her this time around, Christian Today reported. There are also speculations that Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher) might rekindle their romance after the former finds Caleb (Jeff Pierre) with a woman. "Shameless" Season 7 will air on Oct. 2 on Showtime.
