"Outlander" Season 3 made a very big difference from its previous season according to its showrunner Ron Moore. After 20 years Claire and Jamie would finally see each other again.
GamenGuide noted that Claire went back to the present to her husband and after 20 years she decided to travel back in time to Scotland after knowing that Jamie didn't die in the war in Colluden. Claire was eager to find her second husband but the travel won't be easy, She also knows that the journey would not bode well for her in her journey to find Jamie in the upcoming episodes of "Outlander" Season 3.
During the end of "Outlander" Season 2, Jamie and Claire were separated with each other while Jamie goes to war at Culloden. Claire also went back to the future to her first husband Frank Randall and she thought Jamie was already dead. There are also rumors that more things would be added in the upcoming scenes. It is also presumed that their lives would be different than in the former season.

"Outlander" Season 3 will feature romantic scenes between Jamie and Claire but this scenes won't be filmed until 2017 according to the executive producer. Moreover, Moore didn't give further spoilers regarding the question of Jamie and Claire's reunion. He said the scenes will be filmed on ships and in Jamaica International Business Times wrote.

Unlike "Outlander" Season 2 finale that was extended for almost 90 minutes, Season 3 is expected to be shorter and more detailed. However, as for the air date of "Outlander" Season 3, Starz has not given any specific air date yet.
